BAT WCA - Opeyemi Dairo

Opeyemi is a seasoned marketer with over 20 years’ experience in Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications and FMCG. He started his career in BAT as Trade Marketing Representative and has held various roles in Brand Marketing, General Management, HR and Trade Marketing. 

Whilst in brands he piloted the launched of several brands in Nigeria, Pall Mall, B&H and Dunhill Switch. He was also the GBM that make B&H very thick in this business.

He worked in Ghana as Cluster Manager for the then West Africa Central comprising of Ghana, Benin, Togo, Gambia & Liberia leading the team to phenomenal growth. He established Rothmans as the go to brand that it is today in Ghana with his quality volumes mantra.

He also has a stint in HR as Commercial HRBP before his current role as Head of Trade Marketing & Distribution.

He is passionate about people development and career growth.

He loves sports especially Football and Tennis. He is an ardent Arsenal fan. He is popularly referred to as Sir Pelly. 

He is married to his beautiful wife and blessed with three daughters.
